VIRTUAL TRANSFER IS FINISHED... Somewhat...

I hereby announce that Virtual Transfer is finished. BUT the nightmare chapter won't happen.

Recently, I found out that the game got quite too laggy, and it isn't something I can fix. I am limited to Flash's capabilities, and my own skill. Simply, the engine I can't optimize any more then I already did, not with my skill at least, and thanks to Flash's limitations the later levels get quite a slowdown. Not just movement, but also death. I've tried everything to fix this, but it's just not possible...

I say this with much, MUCH pain in my heart, but it was too much for me to handle alone. I have worked on this game a lot the last week, many hours went into this. Some days I even worked for 15 hours straight on making it a better game and developing the levels, art and such. This is why I WILL upload the game to the Cowctus Games DeviantArt page, with a warning that the later levels can cause a slowdown for people with avarage PCs...

BUT, this has been a learning experience, that's for sure. And it was a lot of fun to do this. But, this shows me that Flash just can't handle these things. (Thanks Adobe) I will find a better gaming engine. This may mean that games have to be downloaded in the future, but this I can't help. Flash limits me too much, FAR too much. And when will I even make the next game? I can't tell, because new engine will mean a lot of studying again. And even if I have a better engine to work with, I highly doubt I can make those games on my own. Basically, no team, no games. And since I'm so short on money that I can't pay people for this, that's far in the future... Which saddens me deeply, as my dream is game developer, but I just can't do it on my own. Well will you look at that, another limitation because of money. Thanks a lot, Dad.

But I will look bright to the future... Well, as much as I can. Which is pretty hard because of recent circumstances. Hopefully the future will be brighter, because darkness is now all around me, and I don't like it. Is this the end of Cowctus Games? I... can't tell. Maybe I will make smaller games in Flash, y'know. Fun little minigames, and who knows, maybe in the future I will get a group of people, a better engine, better programmers and such, and make a great game. Great ideas, little money/experience, story of my life. But then again, that's why I go to school, to learn programming... Which is freaking hard because the laptop I have to deal with is an absolute sack of shit. But untill then, all I can do is hope that it gets better, wish me good luck in my future endeavors...
